The Deister, also known as the Großer Deister, is a mountain range with a maximum height of 405 m above sea level in the Calenberger Bergland on the northern border of the Lower Saxony Uplands near Hanover in the districts of Schaumburg, Hameln-Pyrmont and the Hanover region. Although it is often seen as part of the Weser Uplands, it is not part of them in the strict sense.
