The Olympic Week is held annually, usually in September, starting from the day of the All-Ukrainian Olympic Lesson. The All-Ukrainian Olympic Lesson was launched in 2005 on the initiative of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
The venues for the Olympic Week may include: places of recreation and health improvement, recreation centers, camps (school, health, sports), schools, out-of-school institutions, higher education institutions, etc.
The Olympic Week is a nationwide sports and entertainment event aimed at popularizing sports, healthy lifestyles and developing the Olympic movement in Ukraine. Throughout the week, students will compete in agility and endurance, and will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Olympic Movement, its ideas and principles. The Olympic Week in educational institutions is held from the second Saturday of September to October 30.
The purpose of the Olympic Week is to spread the ideas of Olympism and develop the Olympic movement in Ukraine, as well as to popularize a healthy lifestyle. The Olympic Week is organized by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine with the assistance of the central executive body in the field of physical culture and sports.
The All-Ukrainian Olympic Lesson may have an official logo, which is used in the announcement and official advertising of the event.
