Baroque Pride Day is a day dedicated to Baroque art that has been celebrated every December 7 since 2017. This date was chosen by a group of Twitter Art accounts, as it is the anniversary of Gian Lorenzo Bernini's birth (1598).
The original idea was to fill the social networks with Art, culture and heritage, with a clear festive and vindictive tone, to publicize the rich heritage that both in Fine Arts, as in music, literature, etc. there is of this period of Art History.
The initiative had from the beginning the approval of social networks, achieving great impact on them and echoing the most traditional media, as well as institutions and museums.
