Generally, it is filled with praise for the contribution to the nation, even institutional tributes with some fervor, perhaps some public recognition ceremony, but with very few concrete changes in the improvement of our condition. Rather than a day to celebrate, it is more a reminder of how far we have yet to go before the undoubted merits of the university teaching community get the thanks they deserve. Every year since 2009, when University Teacher's Day was established, on July 11, Peruvians have remembered the importance of all those people who devote part of their lives to training professionals in their country.
