Help us

When we hear "reggae" the great artist Bob Marley comes to mind, a great musician who left us works for history and who popularized reggae music around the world, but the truth is that reggae music is much more than Marley. On November 29, 2018, UNESCO declared Reggae as Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
July 1 marks International Reggae Day, a style of music that emerged from the Caribbean island of Jamaica and has already become universal, due to the ability of these rhythms to inspire, encourage and uplift people.
Artists such as Dennis Brown, known as "The Prince of Reggae", Prince Buster, Desmond Dekker, Jackie Mittoo, and the new generations that arrive with new proposals, contribute a lot to reggae.
It was in 1994 when the International Reggae Day was celebrated for the first time with the idea of mobilizing Jamaican radio stations to make specials about the roots of reggae and its ramifications: Mento, Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Dub and Dancehall. Basically the purpose of celebrating this day was something local with a cultural background.
But today, the celebration has become universal. It is all about empowering the inspirational power of reggae music around the world.
