Since 2006, it has been celebrated around the world every year on July 6 and as International Stolen Kiss Day. It is simply known that it has been celebrated in Great Britain since the 19th century and has now become popular worldwide. Although the origin of that celebration is unknown, it is known that the most famous stolen kiss in history occurred on August 14, 1945, testimony captured in an image of who was a famous photographer at the time: Alfred Eisenstaedt, when an American sailor in Manhattan's Time Square of New York gave a huge kiss to a nurse.
Actually, this day serves as an excuse for many people to take courage and decide to plant a huge kiss to the person they have wanted for a long time, but have not had enough courage to propose. Always with their consent, of course.
