Movember was founded in 2004 to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, as well as mental health and suicide prevention. Every November, men across the world grow their best moustache in support of this life-saving foundation.
1 in 9 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in young Canadian men. In Canada, 3 out of 4 deaths by suicide are men.
Established in 2011, Movember Canada is the Canadian arm of the Movember Foundation (MVF). MVF is an Australian-based charity that raises awareness and funds for men's health—specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.
