The Day of Andalusia takes place this day to commemorate the celebration of the day that took place the referendum on the initiative of the autonomous process of Andalusia. It was held in 1980 and gave the Andalusian community full autonomy.
In the south of Spain, "green, white and green" shines Andalusia, the most populated autonomous community in Spain, the second largest after Castile and Leon and home to 8.3 million people. It has eight provinces and a rich natural, historical and cultural heritage known to all. Such an extensive and varied territory, with a diversity of landscapes and climates as a treasure, that make it an ideal destination to visit in any season of the year. A special day to do so is February 28, when the community celebrates the Day of Andalusia.
