Along with official public holidays such as Christmas and Labour Day, there are festivals that celebrate traditional African agricultural values and indigenous animist beliefs. Colorful ceremonies with locals dressed in traditional costumes are accompanied by songs and dances with an undercurrent of traditional African drumming.
