About some dominican traditions

In Dominican society, appearance is very important as it is used to indicate social standing and the degree of a person’s success.

Kissing hands: The term “kissing hands” actually refers to asking for a blessing. This tradition involves young people “kissing” the hands of their elder family members such as their mom, dad, uncle and grandad.

Dominican cuisine is a combination of Spanish, African and Taino culture. Here is the Capital of the Gastronomic Culture of the Caribbean.

The Morn-Trois-Python National Park attracts tourists due to the Boiling Lake shrouded in steam, the water of which is heated by volcanic gases, sulfur springs, Trafalgar Falls, overlooking from a height of 65 meters, and the narrow Tito Gorge. The capital of Dominica Roseau, located in the west of the country, is famous for its colorful wooden houses and botanical gardens.

The capital of Dominica, a small compact urban settlement - Roseau. Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea. The Roseau River flows here. The area is covered by forest and Mount Bruce Morne. The settlement was built on the site of the ancient Indian settlement of Sairi, the oldest and most significant urban settlement on the island.
