The Oktoberfest in Hanover, a firmly established folk festival since 1964, takes place every year from the end of September to the beginning of October on the Schützenplatz. It is the third largest Oktoberfest in the world and attracts around one million visitors. Inspired by Munich's Oktoberfest, it offers a variety of attractions such as traditional Bavarian music, dancing and culinary specialties from the Alpine region and Lower Saxony.
Every Friday at 9:45 pm, visitors can enjoy an impressive firework display.
Special family days: On Wednesdays, guests benefit from discounts of up to 50% on rides and up to 25% on other attractions.
At the end of the festival, there is a large lantern parade in which children can participate with self-made lanterns.
