With its vivid blue color and sweet berry flavor, blueberry doesn't get the love it truly deserves!
When were blueberry popsicles invented? In 1905 at his home in Oakland, California, Epperson had accidentally left a glass that contained powdered soda, water and a mixing stick on his porch on a cold night. The next morning, he discovered his glass and unlocked his first popsicle; specifically, a blueberry popsicle. Later in 1923, Epperson took this childhood discovery and officially invented the ice pop. He first referred to the creation as the “Epsicle”, but then later changed it to the name we all know and love: the “Popsicle”. All these years later, we still enjoy this mistaken creation.
Grits are a ground-corn food of Native American origin, that is common in the Southern United States and eaten mainly at breakfast. Modern grits are commonly made of alkali-treated corn known as hominy. Grits have their origins in Native American corn preparation.
